My offerings as a coach are based on the years of study I've committed to my first love: performance. My teaching style is the culmination of techniques and tools learned from my BFA in Theatre, countless acting classes in Vancouver, and of course, years of professional stage and on set experience.
As far back as I can remember, I've loved teaching. Whether it was as a Mad Scientist alter-ego named "Doctor Dynamite" that would conduct after school science classes (a real job I had), or the theatre summer camps I hosted with my best friend during COVID — I began leading rooms as an instructor many years ago.
More recently, I've been instructing acting for both the stage and screen through contracts with the City of Surrey as well institutions such as Gateway Academy, where I will continue to teach this fall. Believe it or not, I truly believe teaching is in my blood. There have been educators in every generation of my family, going as far back as my great-grandmother, who was a teacher in Punjab in the 1930's! I love knowing that I am a descendant of teachers, and I hope to honour my ancestors by using all that I have learnt (and continue to learn!) in my field.
